Monica Allen

Monica Johnson Allen, 49, passed away at Baptist Hospital on January 16, 2013. Visitation will be Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 2pm until the 3pm Memorial Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. \ Ms. Allen was born in Norwalk, California on September 22, 1963. She moved to Mississippi in 1979 and spent most of her life in Florence, Mississippi as a homemaker. She loved cooking for family and friends, cross stitching, collecting cookbooks, doing puzzles and spending time with her children, nieces, and nephews. Her favorite memory was of a vacation to Sea World with her family, especially watching the seals kiss the children. She loved her children and would do anything for them. \ She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Johnson and her brother, Darrell Johnson. She is survived by her son, Andrew (Lauren) Allen of Hattiesburg, MS; daughter Jessica Allen of Richland, MS; mother, Rose Johnson of Clinton, MS; brother, David Johnson of Puyallup, WA; sister, Becky (Jeff) Hunter of Los Lunas, NM and Cindy (Sidney) Brumfield of Florence, MS; and many other friends and family. \
