Mr. Morris L. Swartz

Morris L. Swartz, 84, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 2pm Friday, June 13 at Fellowship Baptist Church followed by interment at Everett Cemetery in Mendenhall, MS. Mr. Swartz was born in Blountstown, FL. He had lived in Raymond for the past 17 years having come from South Jackson. Mr. Swartz loved his church where he was active serving as usher and soul winner and he enjoyed fishing. Mr. Swartz worked for Jitney Jungle for several years and worked for BIC for 20 years where he retired. He is preceded in death by Charlie & Sarah Swartz, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Survivors include his wife Mathia Floyd Swartz of Raymond; daughters Clair Britt of Laurel, Dianne Shoisson of Meridian and Shirley Panvelle (Larry) of Sheraton, AR; sister Altha Mae Jennings (J.C.) of Atlanta, GA; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
