Myrtle Mims

Myrtle Powell Mims, 89, died October 11, 2010 in Utica, MS.\ She was born on September 24th, 1921, in the Corinth Church community, near Magee, MS.\ She lived in Jackson, MS for nearly 60 years before moving to Utica because of her health.\ She is preceded in death by her husband, L.B. Mims. She is survived by one brother, William E. Powell, of Beaumont, MS; two sons - Lowell Mims, of Utica, MS and Jim Mims, of Jackson, MS; two grandchildren - Lowell Breland Mims, Jr., of Florence, MS and Christina M. Anderson, of Export, PA; two great-grandchildren - Lowell Breland Mims, III and Ashton Ray Mims, both of Florence, MS.\ Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, October 13, 2010 at the Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.\ \ The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Carrie Nash, D.O., Gilbert's Home Health Agency, Sitters, LLC & Patients...
