Nancy Ballenger

Mrs. Nancy Ballenger, 70, of Jackson, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. \ \ Visitation will be today from 5-8pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram with funeral services at 1pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will follow at Berea Cemetery in Attala County.\ \ A native of Kosciusko, Mrs. Ballenger had lived most of her life in the Jackson area. She was a longtime, faithful member of Creston Hills Baptist Church and loved her family, flowers and her dog, Angel. Mrs. Ballenger had worked at Central Mississippi Medical Center as a switchboard operator for 19 years.\ \ She is survived by her sons, Terry Ballenger of Jackson, and Daniel (Liz) Ballenger of Brandon; her daughter, Donna Ashley of Chattanooga, TN; her sisters, Linda (Wayne) Raley of Houston, TX and Shirley Graham of Ethel, MS; six grandchildren, Bryan Harrell, Andrew Roberts, Allison & Ethan Vines, Grace Ballenger and Will Ballenger; 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.\
