Nancy Green

Nancy Jean Green was born on May 14, 1963. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. 

 Nancy was born and raised in South Jackson in the Garden Park area. She attended Wingfield High School but graduated early from the Educational Center. She worked in the insurance business most of her career as an agent at World Insurance and The L.D. O'Mire Insurance Agency in Jackson, MS. In the late 80's during her time in the sales field, Nancy was one of the top agents in the state for World Insurance. Nancy was also an avid sports fan. From softball at Flowers Park to tennis at school and Battlefield park, she loved to be active and was known as a talented athlete. 

 In addition to her love for sports, Nancy enjoyed singing and playing the piano and guitar. She was very talented with a beautiful singing voice, and she loved music. Nancy had a deep love for her dogs that brought her comfort and companionship throughout her life. She loved her husband, Andy, and cherished her family. Nancy brought joy and laughter to everyone around her with her beautiful smile, amazing sense of humor, and her contagious laughter. 

 Nancy is preceded in death by her father, Tom L. Cain, her mother, Beverly C. Cain, her brother Jomie C. Cain, and her stepdaughter, Laurette Green. She is survived by her husband, Andrew Green, her daughter, Shea Egger, her sisters Candy Cain and Lisa Cain Futvoye, her grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Services for Nancy will be December 27th at St. James Episcopal Church, with a visitation from 11am until the service begins at 12pm. The interment will follow the service at Natchez Trace Cemetery
