Neeta Arnett Hart, age 85, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2024. Born on April 29, 1939, Neeta lived a life filled with love, grace, and service. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Jerry Hart, her parents, Doyle and Minnie Arnett, and her sister, Nancy Arnett Shaw. Neeta is survived by her daughter, Julie Hart (Pearl), granddaughter, Jenna Hart (Pearl), son, James Hart (Crystal Springs), and her sister, Nellie Rogers (Louisville).
Neeta worked for the telephone company for 35 years. An active member of the Siwell Road Church of Christ, Neeta's faith was an integral part of her life. She had a deep love for singing old gospel hymns, her quiet spirit resonating with those who knew her.
Her greatest gift was making others feel comfortable. Whether it was through her genuine concern for their well-being or the warmth she brought to gatherings, Neeta had a remarkable ability to ensure everyone was taken care of. Her home was often filled with guests, who could always count on her amazing cooking and hospitality. No one ever left without a plate to go.
Neeta and Jerry were inseparable, sharing a love for travel, especially their cherished trips to the Grand Ole Opry. Family was central to Neeta’s life, and she found immense joy in family get-togethers, making memories that will be cherished by all.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Neeta Hart’s memory to the Berean Children’s Home, 1180 Berea Trail SE, Bogue Chitto, Mississippi 39629.
Neeta’s kindness, love, and quiet strength will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
