Nils William Larsen

Nils William Larsen passed away Monday, September 19, 2022, at the age of 85.  Nils was born in New York City on January 2, 1937, to Nels and Beatrice Larsen.   Nils was an avid train lover with memberships to many train museums and societies.  He also was a world traveler having worked with the World Bank and IMF in many foreign countries including Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, UAE, Sierra Leone.  In retirement, Nils loved working with his model trains and visiting California and especially San Diego.

Nils was preceded in death by his wife Charlene Bridges Larsen and his parents.

He is survived by, his son, Michael Larsen; brother, Bruce W Larsen; sister-in-law, Patricia Larsen; nieces, Sharon Vick and Sonja Daye; nephew Wayne Larsen; cousin, Genevieve Silberman; and distance relatives in Stavanger, Norway.

Funeral services will be at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 11:00 AM with Bro. David Sartin officiating and Bro. Rich Mayfield assisting. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Serving the family as pallbearers are Zachary and Colton Mulligan, Christian, Daniel and David Macoy and Gabriel Pennington.
