Mrs. Nona Milner Tucker

Wynona “Nona” Milner Tucker,88, went to be with her Lord, after a hard battle with breast cancer on Monday, October 12, 2015 at her home in Terry. Visitation will be 11am until the 12:30pm funeral service Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Mrs. Tucker was the youngest of seven children born to the late William Green Milner and Annie Eliza Johnson Milner. She traveled 48 of 50 states after her retirement from South Central Bell in 1980 after 40 years of loyal service. Though she had no children of her own, she treated her nieces and nephews, as well as their children, as her own. Mrs. Tucker was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Tucker; son, Larry Owen Tucker and eight German shepherds named Samantha. Survivors include her sister Lottie Milner Watts; nieces and nephews Cheyrle Watts (Buster) Peebles of Madison, Jerry (Sandra) Watts of Madison, Gary (Gay) Watts of Raymond, Nora Sills, Irvin Pylate, Jr., James Deason and her best friend Ida Lee Barron.
