Nora Nikolic, 75, passed into the arms of Jesus on July 12, 2020 in Metarie, LA. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.—7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Due to the current circumstances regarding COVID-19, the funeral home will have an occupancy of ten people in the building at a time. All attendees are required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Lakewood Memorial Park South in Jackson, MS. Mrs. Nikolic was born to Onis Holder and Mildred Claborn Holder on November 25, 1944 in Pearl, MS where she spent most of her life. A graduate of Pearl High School and Hinds Jr. College, she was employed in finance at Bellsouth until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson where she was active in the children’s ministry and the FBC choir playing the hand bells. In her spare time, she loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Barbara Torrence, Linda Cochran, and Jimmy Holder. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles Lewis Nikolic; daughters, Latricia (Terry) McNair of Terry and Tere (Shane) Crouchet of Harahan, LA; five grandchildren, Aaron and Hannah Parker, Brian McNair, and Abbigail and Corbin Crouchet; and four great-grandchildren, Leyton and Silas Parker, Gracelyn Cozart, and Dakota Cook. The family would like to give special thanks to Sunrise of Metarie for their loving care.
