Norman “Norm” Albert Stark, 97, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at his home in Jackson. Private family services will be held at a later date. Mr. Stark was born in Navarino, Wisconsin to the late Albert and Alma Lisch Stark. He lived in Jackson for the past 14 years having come from Florida and Wisconsin and was a U.S. Navy Air Corps Veteran. While living in Cecil, Wisconsin, Mr. Stark was owner of Starks Boot Shop and served on the Centennial Committee in 1985. He then moved to Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club when he retired and later moved to MS to be close to their son. In 2014 he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Navarino, WI. In his early days, he played for the Green Bay Blue Jays—he truly loved baseball. In 2016 at age 96, he was able to see his beloved Cubs win the World Series. Mr. Stark was a retired truck driver for City Service Oil Company and a member of Asbury Congregational Methodist Church in Jackson. He is preceded in death by his loving daughter Sandra Stark Baker. Survivors include his wife of over 71 years (their anniversary was on November 19th) Isabel Hinkel Stark; son, Bill Stark (Myong) of Jackson; son-in-law, David Baker; grandchildren, Jenni Ramirez (Miquel), Sheila Stark, Lisa Beecher (Jon), Gina Witkowski (Tyler) and Jammie Baker (Fumika) and 12 great grandchildren.
