Orland Daniel “O.D.” Wade, 86, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at his home. Visitation will be 5-7pm Friday, February 26, 2016 and 9am until the 10am funeral service Saturday, February 27, 2016, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Magee Cemetery. Mr. Wade was born in Simpson County, MS to the late Thomas Wallace Wade and Lula Tanner Wade. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Wade lived in South Jackson since 1954, working for Bell South with 46 years of loyal service. He was an avid bowler, fisherman, gardener and member of Southern Hills Baptist Church, which he loved. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Nancy Brown. Survivors include his wife of 61 years Marion wade of Jackson; sons Mark M. Wade, Paul D. Wade and Keith (Ann) Wade, all of Jackson; brother Lee Wade of GA; sisters Lina Maddox, Nonnie Jones and Flora Biggs, all of TX; grandchildren, Bradley, Britney, Megan, Dawn, Timothy, Cindy and Lisa; great grandchildren, Cole, Taylor, Justin, Kristie and Anna Grace and numerous cousins.
