Olivia Janice Tinnin

Olivia Janice Tinnin, 85, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013 at her home in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-7pm Tuesday, June 11 and 10am until the 11am funeral service Wednesday, June 12, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood South. Known as Darlin´ to her grandchildren and their friends, she was born in Nacogdoches, TX to the late Lonnie and Cecile Gellatly Nicholson. She lived in Jackson since 1972 and was secretary for Wilkins Elementary School. An avid sports enthusiast, Mrs. Tinnin followed the Atlanta Braves and MSU Athletics and was actively involved at Leavell Woods UMC. She is preceded in death by her husband Ray Tinnin and brother Robert Neal Nicholson. Survivors include her son Ben Tinnin of Little River, SC; daughter Karen King (David) of Raymond and grandchildren Olivia and Hannah King.
