Ollie Lee Ellison Brown, of Florence, MS., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 25, 2016. Ollie was born in Ballard, West Virginia, to the late Russell Lee and Ora Lee McCullough Ellison. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, as well as a friend to everyone she met. She enjoyed years of serving the Gideon ministry and served as current Chaplain of the American Legion Post 112. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer (Bill) C. Brown; one granddaughter, Tiffany Quinn; one great-granddaughter, Makayla Quinn; sisters, Alma Mann and Gladys Sanderson; brothers, J C. Ellison and Joe Ellison. Survivors left to sadly miss and cherish her memory are: two sons, Glen Brown and wife Diane of West Point, MS, and Dale Brown and wife Dymple of Brookhaven, MS; one daughter, Gail Capton of Florence, MS; three grandchildren, Alison Reed and husband Jason, Lauren Taylor and husband Shaun, and Brad Brown; five great-grandchildren, Anna Grace and Kara Reed, Carson and Jack Carter Taylor, Caleb Brown; and brother, Darrell Ellison and wife Sandra of Pensacola, FL. Visitation will be from 1- 2 pm Monday, November 28, 2016, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, with funeral service to follow at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. The Brown family offers a special thanks to Amedisys Home Health Care and Senior Home Care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideon’s International.
