Mrs. Pansey Earline Pierce, 84, passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Plain View Assisted Living in Richland, MS. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. There will be a Graveside Service at 11:15 a.m. at Star Cemetery. Mrs. Pierce was born July 30, 1936 to the late Woodrow and Virgie Cowart in Jones County, MS. She was a member of Star Baptist Church. She retired from UMMC after 34 years working as a phlebotomist. Mrs. Pansey was a great cook and was always trying new recipes. She enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, and loved her flowers. She was a bee keeper and sold a lot of honey. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Martin; and her brothers, Woody Cowart and Billy Cowart. She is survived by her husband, Ansel Pierce of Florence; daughter, Pam Pierce of Brookhaven; sons, Barrett (Deborah) Pierce of Florence and Bruce Pierce of Florence; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
