On July 21, 2024, the world said goodbye to a beloved individual, Pat Lee Smith, who passed away peacefully at his home. Pat was born to Curley C. Smith and Nina Jewel Harris Smith in Louisiana on August 12, 1945. He led a remarkable life full of love, adventure, and passion.
Throughout his years, Pat dedicated himself to a career as a truck driver, finding joy the freedom of the open road. His adventurous spirit was reflected not only in his profession but also in his hobbies and interests. He found solace in working in his vegetable garden, driving his tractor through the fields, enjoying moments of peace while fishing, and expressing his creativity through woodworking.
One of Pat's proudest accomplishments was being a loving and caring father. His devotion to his family was unparalleled and he leaves behind cherished memories that will be cherished forever.
Pat is reunited in eternity with his parents and brothers, Bill and Charles Smith, as well as sister, Ethel Geddis. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara Ann Gillean Smith; daughter, Susan Diane Smith; stepsons, Kenneth Carpenter (Leigh Ann) and Ricky Carpenter (Melanie); stepdaughter, Michelle Hamann; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
