Patricia “Pat” Ann Vaughan Bryant, 76, passed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, July 26th from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. There will be a Graveside Service on Monday, July 27th at 11:00 a.m. in the Garden of Memories. Rev. Malcolm Pinon will officiate. Due to the new guidelines regarding gatherings, there will be a limit of 10 people allowed in the Funeral Home at a time and mask or facial coverings must be brought and worn. Pat was born October 1, 1943 in Shreveport, LA to the late Charles and Sallie Vaughan. She was raised in Natchez, MS and has called Florence her home for the last 40 years. She was a member of Briar Hill Baptist Church and retired as a planning engineer’s assistant from South Central Bell. Pat loved her family and her dogs. She was very artistic and loved to draw. She enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. Pat had a great sense of humor and enjoyed playing practical jokes. Along with her parents, Mrs. Bryant is also preceded in death by her husband, Ken Bryant; grandson, Anthony Lopez; and by her brother, Robert “D.D” Vaughan. She is survived by her daughters, Cecelia “C.C.” Vaughan of Florence and Dedra (Billy Joe) Bryant Walker of Mendenhall; son, Charles Bryant of Florence; brothers, Howard Vaughan of Brookhaven; sister, Elaine Kays of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Brandon Mixon, Christopher Walker, Casey Walker, Christopher Sterling and Amanda Phillips; and great grandchildren, Miranda Mixon, Alex Mixon, Mikaleigh Thibeadeux, Hunter Phillips and Madison Phillips.
