Patsy Ann Cook was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. At age 85, she quietly departed this life on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born to Ernest Cook and Burvie Ann Pullen Cook on July 12, 1938 in Attala County, MS in the Chapel Hill Community.
After graduating from French Camp Academy, Patsy married her husband, Charles Frank Sprayberry. Together, they had one daughter, Cheryl Dulaney. Patsy later received a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi College while working at the State of Mississippi Personnel Board. Patsy was an active member of Spring Ridge United Methodist Church.
As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many. She was a great cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her loved ones. She loved baking for the holidays and making candy for her loved ones during holidays and birthday celebrations. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well in her garden, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sprayberry.
Patsy’s beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her child: Cheryl Dulaney (Bill) of Jackson, MS; three grandchildren, Kelli Dulaney of Wichita, KS; Anna Marie Clay (Richard) of Starkville, MS; Griffin Dulaney of Jackson, MS; and her precious great grandchild, Laney Elizabeth Clay along with a host of devoted cousins and friends.
