Paul Shelby Terry Paul Shelby, 77 died Saturday, Dec 6, 2008 at Central MS Medical Center. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 8 P.M. Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and Tuesday from 9:30 A.M. until the 10:30 A.M. Service at First Baptist Church of Terry. Burial will follow in Terry Cemetery. A native of Terry Mr. Shelby was retired from the State as Finance Director of the Public Employees Retirement System. A US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, Paul and wife Edwina spent their retirement traveling and camping with his brother Mason, family and the Winnebago Club. Mr. Shelby was a graduate and avid Fan of Mississippi State and loved the Bulldogs. The highlight of his life was his grandsons. He spent many wonderful times and his fondest moments watching them play ball. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Terry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. F.M. Shelby, Sr. and siblings, Gordon "Doc" Shelby, Jim Shelby, and Amy Shelby Myers.\ Mr. Shelby is survived by his wife of 52 years, Edwina Pierce Shelby of Terry; Son: Edwin ( Melissa) Shelby of Raymond, Daughter; Paula M. Shelby of Terry; Brother Mason Shelby, Jr of Jackson; Sisters; Vivian Shelby Smith of Amarillo, TX and Dorothy Shelby of Florence; two Grandsons, Andrew and Brandon Shelby; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of Friends who will all miss him dearly. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Terry Building Fund, 209 W. Raymond Street, Terry, MS.
