Pauline Mullican Taylor passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018. She was born April 4, 1924 in Florence, MS to Holdman Edgar and Lillie Rea Mullican. She was a life long resident of Florence. In 1951 she married D Evans Taylor of Florence who preceded her in death after a marriage of 43 years. Mrs. Taylor was a member of First Baptist Church of Florence where, at one time, she taught Sunday school and worked with the youth. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and served as worthy matron. She retired from Trustmark National Bank as vice-president after 24 years of service. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister; Jean Mullican McCardle and brother-in-law, Carroll McCardle. She is survived by her daughter, Dee Taylor of Pearl; son, D Edgar Taylor of Florence; nephew, Russell Carroll “Butch” McCardle, Jr., of Hazlehurst, MS; great nephew, Milton Carroll “Butchie” McCardle (Ginny); great great nephew, Hardy McCardle, great great nieces, Lillie and Emma McCardle, great niece, Casey McCardle; niece, Sharron McCardle Guild of Jackson, MS; great niece, Lindsay Guild Bollinger (Thomas), great nephew, Davis Guild, the pride and joy of her life; and great nephew, Nathan Guild. Visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Florence on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service. A Graveside Service will follow at Florence City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to First Baptist Church of Florence.
