Pearl Druetta

Mrs. Pearl Sarah Druetta, 99, lived a long life before joining her heavenly Father in heaven on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Briar Hill Nursing Home. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Briar Hill Baptist Church in Florence. Graveside services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in Natchez City Cemetery.\ \ Mrs. Druetta was a long time resident of Natchez before coming to Florence. She is remembered as always helping others and was an active member of Briar Hill Baptist Church. She loved flowers and knitting.\ \ She was preceded in death by her husband, David Duretta.\ \ She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Duretta of Florence; nieces: Linda and Jackie McKenzie, and Marie Schorendorf all of Magnolia, MS, Toni Danser of Lexington, SC, and Virginia Brown of Brandon; nephews: George Souderes of Natchez and Roy Souderes of Florence; along with a host of friends including special friends; Evelyn Bullock and Brenda Smith both of Florence. \ \ In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Washington Baptist Church, Natchez, MS or Briar Hill Baptist Church, Florence.\
