Peggy Allen

Mrs. Peggy Allen, 63, died at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital on Friday, October 08, 2010. Visitation will be Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 2-5 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and on Monday from 1-2 p.m. Services will be Monday, October 11, 2010 at the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ricky Callaway and Rev. Gene Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories.\ \ Peggy came to the Florence area in 1998 from Pearl. She was devoted to her family and her church. She was a member of Gunter Road Baptist Church and was very active serving on multiple committees. \ \ She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Johnny Allen of Florence; son, Johnny Allen, Jr. and wife Angie of Puckett; daughters: Joyce Hopkins of Panama City, FL, Wanda Dowell and husband Keith of Pearl, and Kim Reeves and husband, Fred of Brandon; brothers, Bobby Buffington of Hempstead, TX, Jerry Wayne Burlison of Richland and Gary Dennis of Madison; sister, Kathy Cauthen of Madison; and 6 grandchildren.\
