Mrs. Peggy Bowles Byrd

Peggy Bowles Byrd, 68, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at her home in Byram, MS. Visitation will be Monday, November 29, 2021 from 5:00 p.m.—7:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Byram and again on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at First Baptist Church of Byram Cemetery. Peggy was born on June 17, 1953 in Tyler, TX to Aaron H. Bowles and Mary Hoff Bowles. A member of First Baptist Church of Byram, she was a strong Christian lady who loved the Lord. She loved her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, and Grammy. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Byrd and brother, Paul Bowles. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Barney Byrd; daughter, Carman (Jonathan) Oswalt of Byram; sister, Carol Bowles of Lansdale, PA; brother, Robert (Susan) Bowles of Meridian; and grandchildren, Mary Claire Oswalt and Caitlyn Oswalt. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideon's or Parkinson's Foundation.
