Peggy Jean Kirk

Peggy Jean Kirk, 75, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 at The Mississippi Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS, following a brief illness. The family will receive friends Tuesday December 4, 2018, at Wynndale Baptist Church beginning at 9:00am until the 11:00am Memorial service. Rev. Jerry Smith is the officiating minister. Her Final resting place will be at Bonaventure Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL. Peggy was born, October 12, 1943 in Webb, MS to the late William Lloyd Smith and Effie Glass Smith. She was a resident of Stevenson, AL for 27 years before moving to Terry, where she lived the past 10 years. Peggy was an active member of Wynndale Baptist Church where she was a member of the Wynndale Winners and Women on Missions. She loved crafts and enjoyed riding motorcycles. She was a fulltime homemaker and Military wife. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack R Kirk Sr.; brothers, John William “Red” Smith and Billy Lloyd Smith. Survivors include son, Jack “Randy” Kirk Jr.; daughters, Sandra (Greg) King of Harrison, TN, Carolyn (Harold) Roberts of Keokuk, IA; sister, Juanita (Erbie) Allday of Terry; brothers, William Floyd “Sonny” (Jean) Smith of Bay Minette, AL, James Edward Smith of Oakland, MS, Jimmy Lee (Elizabeth) Smith of Roy, UT; sister in law, Linda Smith McGregory of Batesville, MS; grandchildren, Justin Wetherbee, Amanda Wetherbee, Wayne (Amanda) Rehkamp, Michael (Melissa) Rehkamp; great grandchildren, Neylynn Wetherbee, Nathaniel Rehkamp, Nicholas Rehkamp and numerous nieces and nephews.
