Mrs. Peggy Sue Owen

Peggy Sue Owen, 73, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Friday, January 24th from 5-8 PM and Saturday, January 25th from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Richland City Cemetery in Richland. Mrs. Owen has lived in Richland for 49 years, moving from Harrisville. She was a member of Palestine Baptist Church in Harrisville. She enthusiastically loved and supported her family; she loved going to the mountains with her late husband and fishing with him too. She enjoyed crafts and sewing, gardening, cooking, and NFL football. Mrs. Owen is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Owen; her daughter, Rene Owen; and 3 brothers, Edwin Kelly, Noot Kelly, and Jim Kelly. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Sherry) Kelly of Florence, Mike (Amy) Owen of Florence, and Jerry (Lana) Owen of Florence; daughters, Sandra Snell of Florence and Sondra (Ken) Clark of Brandon; sisters, Teeny Jones of Vicksburg, Merle Kelly of Vicksburg, and Jewel (Roy Von) Welch of Harrisville; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
