Mrs. Peggy Joyce Patterson

Peggy Joyce Patterson, 77, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Terry Cemetery in Terry, MS. A long-time resident of Byram, Peggy was born on September 24, 1944 to James Sills and Ruthie Greer Sills. She enjoyed cooking and shopping. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, David “Pete” Patterson; sister, Carolyn Odom; and brothers, Larry and Bobby Sills. She is survived by sons, Michael Patterson of Byram and Peter Patterson of Raymond; sisters, Sheila (Gene) Blanton of Cleburne, TX and Janice (Gary) Childs and Janet Easley, both of Brandon; brother, Robert Christopher Sills of Fairhope, AL; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
