Mrs. Peggy Jean Smith

Peggy Jean Smith, 65, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 at University Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 11am until the 1pm funeral service Thursday, November 1, 2018 all at Wynndale Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Rosemont Gardens in Jackson. Mrs. Smith was born in Jackson, MS having lived the last 32 years in Byram. She worked in the Human Resources Department at Hinds Community College for 34 years. Mrs. Smith enjoyed sewing, cooking and working with her flowers. She loved her church, her pastor and keeping her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, John B. McCulloch and Lavern Miller and her great aunt Hilda Black. Survivors include her husband of 47 years Al Smith of Byram; sons, Byron Smith (Melissa) of Brandon and J.T. Smith of Florence; daughter, Christi Smith of Richland; sister, Charlene Dunlap of Jackson; grandchildren, Alan Michael Smith, Karlie Kaiser, Spencer Smith, Tyler Bunch, Vada Smith and Rivers Smith; great grandchild, Bentley Smith.
