Ralph Barnett

Mr. Ralph E. Barnett, 81 of Florence passed away on August 2, 2010. He was born July 10, 1929 in Jones County, MS. He graduated from high school in Columbia, MS and served two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He lived in New York City where he worked as a caterer for more than 40 years. He moved back to MS in 2004.\ \ He was pre-deceased by his parents, Percy and Ola V. Barnett and two sisters: Martha Ann Thompson and Rose Marie Pack.\ \ He is survived by a daughter, Beverly Sowell of Newton; granddaughter, Felicia Sowell; a sister, Shirley (Billy) Webb of Florence and a number of nieces and nephews.\ \ Graveside services will be at Lakewood Cemetery in Clinton, MS at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2010.
