Ralph Edwards,Jr.

Ralph Edwards, Jr., 71, passed away Monday, April 16, 2012, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.\ Ralph was born April 12, 1941, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Ralph and Mary Ellen Edwards. He graduated from Murrah High School in Jackson, Mississippi, and attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where he majored in business and real estate. Ralph was a realtor and broker in the Jackson area and later worked as an approved VA/FHA fee appraiser from 1971 until he retired in 2011.\ Ralph was a 32nd Scottish Degree Mason, A Wahabi Shriner, and a past director of the Wahabi Greeters. He enjoyed sports, watching TV, and traveling with his family.\ Ralph is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Stephanie Edwards Knight. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Suzanne Breeland Edwards, two sons, Ralph Shannon Edwards and Brian Lewis Edwards (Charla); son-in-law, Lane Knight; and two grandsons, Brandon Knight and Ramsey Edwards.\ Visitation will be Friday, April 20. 2012 from 5-8pm and Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 10am until the 11am service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS. Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial park on Clinton Blvd. in Jackson, MS.\ Memorials may be made to Brookleigh Baptist Church, 5250 Forest Hill Road, Byram, MS 39272.
