Mr. Randy "Lion" Wilson

Jerry Randall “Lion” Wilson, 63, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at his home in Terry. Visitation will be 5-8pm Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. A graveside service will be held at 11am Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Terry Cemetery. Mr. Wilson was born in Jackson, MS and was a lifelong resident of Hinds County. He was friendly to everyone, never meeting a stranger. A gentle soul, Mr. Wilson was an avid sportsman, excellent cook and raised chickens. He was best friend to many-never speaking ill about or hurt anyone and was the best babysitter ever. He was self employed in the HVAC business. He is preceded in death by his father Charles C. Wilson. Survivors include his mother, Jennie Viola Wilson; brothers, Monty (Susan) Wilson of Terry, Larry Wilson of Jackson, Leslie (Tammy) Wilson of Terry and Greg Wilson of Terry; sister, Sherry Russell of Madison; nieces, Dacie McKenzie of SC, Hannah Russell of Madison, Brooke McKenzie of SC and Brooklyn Wilson of Terry; nephews, Hunter Russell of VA and Logan McKenzie of Jackson. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the ALS foundation.
