Mr. Ray McNeil

Ray McNeil, 79, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at The Waterford on Highland Colony in Ridgeland. Visitation will be 6-8pm Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and 1pm until the 2pm graveside service Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Bethlehem Community Church in Laurel. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. McNeil was born in Jasper County, MS to the late Velmer Monroe McNeil and Maggie Bernice Bullock McNeil. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired as Maintenance Supervisor at University Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Shannon McNeil and Tony McNeil; sister, Wynona Dill; brothers, Burley J. McNeil and Jerome McNeil. Survivors include his son, Stanley McNeil of Bay Springs, MS; brother, Kerney McNeil of Corinth, MS; granddaughter, Lacey McNeil of Bay Springs, MS; two great grandsons, Lathan and Lucian and several who thought of him as “Daddy”.
