Mr. Rayford Odell Sistrunk Sr.

Rayford Odell Sistrunk, Sr., 84, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Merit River Oaks in Flowood, MS. Visitation will be Friday, September 15th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and Saturday, September 16th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service at First Pentecostal Church in Jackson. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories in Florence. Mr. Sistrunk was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Jackson and was a lineman with I.B.E.W where he was a member for 55 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Sistrunk is preceded in death by his parents, Richmond Louis and Mattie Bonnie Langston Sistrunk. His is survived by his son, Rayford “Junior” (Sonya) Sistrunk, Jr. of Brandon; daughters, Beverly (Carl) McGlothlin of Weir, TX and Cindy (Jerry) Mosley of Pearl; sisters, Margie Fondren of Austin, TX, Deloris Ivy of Terry, and Amanda (David) Maddox of Lexington, TN; brother, Travis Sistrunk of Jackson; 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
