Raymond Curtis Brewer

Raymond Curtis Brewer, known to his loved ones as Butch, passed away on October 19, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born in Jackson, MS, to John David Brewer Sr, and Rita Lux Brewer. Raymond's life was marked by a long and fulfilling career as a truck driver. 

Butch had a passion for the great outdoors, and he found solace in being close to nature. He was an avid deer hunter and spent countless hours enjoying this pastime. 

Butch is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Mike Brewer and Bob Hayden; and a sister, Ginger Miller. 

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Nancy Tomlinson Brewer, his daughter, Kimberly McCoy and her husband, Donnie of Jackson; his stepson, Jason Edmondson, and his wife Kelly of McComb. Raymond cherished his role as a grandfather and will be remembered fondly by his five grandchildren: Lexy McCoy, Tessa McCoy, Tatum Edmondson, Lily McCoy, and Rylee Edmondson.  In addition to his immediate family, Raymond is survived by his brother David Brewer and his wife Dawn of Pearl, as well as his sister, Libb Piazza of Clinton.  

Butch's gentle demeanor and compassionate nature made him someone people turned to for guidance and support. He had a way of making everyone feel valued and loved.  His absence will be deeply felt among all those who had the honor of knowing him throughout his journey of life. Whether it was sharing stories from the road or creating memories during hunting trips with friends or family members.
