Rebecca "Becky" Jo Breland

Rebecca “Becky” Jo Breland went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at her home in Richland, MS. She was 76 years old. The family will receive friends and extended family for visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Richland Cemetery in Richland.

Becky, best known to most as “Nana”, was born on March 8, 1948, to Roy Lee Quinn and Willie Pearl Sims Quinn in Jackson, MS. On November 9, 1981, she married the love of her life, Bruce Breland. She was a devoted wife to him for 42 plus years. They had the kind of marriage that everyone wanted to model. Becky loved the Lord and her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a secretary for the City of Richland. Becky was an excellent organist and pianist and she played at her church. She loved gardening her flowers and enjoyed traveling and shopping. Becky was always a helper. Always wanting to help others and never met a stranger. She had a true servant’s heart, and she will truly be missed.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joyce Quinn; and brother-in-law, Wade Lee “Pappy” Overby. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Breland of Richland; children, Michelle Blakely (Jimbo) of Brandon, Karen Minton (Rusty) of Richland, Robin Rogers (Richard) of Richland, and Brian Breland of Fort Mill, SC; sister, Linda Plemons (Dennis) of Richland; grandchildren, Austin Minton (Abbey), Brantley Rogers (Allison), Montana Rogers (Jake), Preston Blakely, Brooklyn Grantham (Kiley), and Connor Blakely; great grandchildren, Greyson Minton, Dolly Kae Rogers, Cooper Grantham, McCarey Quinn Minton, and Masyn Kae Rawson.
