Rebecca Gordon

Mrs. Rebecca Wiggs Gordon, 63, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, July 25, 2009 from her home in Richland. Visitation will be Friday, July 31, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Celebration of her life will be Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Jesus Name Tabernacle at 11 a.m. with interment following in the church cemetery.\ \ Mrs. Gordon was a hard worker who had lived in Rankin County since 1975, coming here from Texas. She managed the Family Dollar Store several years and was a line leader at ARA Mfg. in Arlington, TX. Her favorite thing was spending time with grandchildren and also enjoyed cooking.\ \ She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Gordon; son, Duane Gordon; parents and sister, Etta Shellhorse..\ \ She is survived by three sons: Timothy (Diane) Gordon, Scotty (Lana) Gordon, and Donald (Patti) Gordon all of Richland; brothers: Bob Wiggs of Modesto, CA, Jim Wiggs of Harrison, AR; sisters: Mary Underwood, Martha Whitehead both of Houston, TX, and Edna Payne of Cleburne, TX; brother-in laws: John Shellhouse of Arlington, TX and James Payne of Cleburne, TX.; and 7 granddaughters.\
