Rebecca Monroe

Becky Monroe\ Pearl\ \ Meredith Rebecca Monroe sadly passed away at her home on Wednesday September 23, 2009 at the age of 61. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Sarah and Anna Monroe. Brother Sheldon Webb. Sisters, Lindy Navin, Shelley Gibson and Jean Breland as well as nieces and nephews, Sean, Genevieve, Ian, Terry and Sean.\ Becky graduated from Mississippi College with a bachelor's degree in English and a master's in sociology. She served her community with her teaching throughout the state of Mississippi. After retiring she turned to her true love, art and writing, becoming a very talented creator. She was a member of VSA.\ Aside from her teaching and artistic gifts to the world, she was a beacon of Christ's love and compassion to all those she came in contact with. Although she has left us for her eternal home in heaven, her spirit will live on here, forever in each one of us. She will be truly missed and loved. Her memorial service will be held at her home church, Briarhill Baptist Church at 2pm Saturday September 26, 2009 with visitation starting at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association or Briarhill Baptist Church, Florence, MS. \
