Reginald Leroy Garrett

Reginald Leroy “Roy” Garrett passed away on Sunday morning April 17, 2016. There will be a visitation on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS from 5-8 PM. The funeral service will also be at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 11 AM and will be preceded by a one-hour visitation. A veteran of the United States Navy, Mr. Garrett was also a member of Cleary Baptist Church, the Patrol Marching Unit of the Wahabi Shrine, and the Evening Star #70 Mason Lodge. Mr. Garrett was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Kemp Garrett Crowder and step-father Lamar Crowder; his father, Stewart Garrett; his brother, Horace Garrett; and Sister, Mamie Ruth Hathcock all of Kilmichael MS. He is survived by his wife, Anita Griffin Garrett of Florence, MS; his children, Libby Garrett Shields of Richland, MS, Dana Scudder Bulman (Chris) of Florence, MS, Barry Garrett (Jessica) of Terry, MS, Kenny Garrett of Florence, MS, and Tommy Garrett of Brandon, MS; his sister, Lois Cox (Arthur) of Marietta, GA.; his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Garrett and Kamryn Shields and Alex Garrett of Richland, MS; Jacob and Jared Lord of Florence, MS; Gabe, Noah, Jacob, and Hanna Mann and Dakota Andrews of Terry, MS; his Boston Terrier, Fancy, and numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews who were not only family, but also friends.
