Rev. Claiborne Holliday

Rev. Claiborne Holliday\ Jackson\ \ Rev. Claiborne Holliday 91, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday March 12, 2011. Visitation will be Monday March 14, 2011 from 11am-2pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, prior to the 2pm service at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Rosemont Gardens. \ Rev. Holliday was born in Mount Herman, LA and served in the U.S. Army. He graduated from the Pentecostal Bible Institute in Tupelo. He started ministry work in 1951 and served until his retirement in 1993. Bro. Holliday served as pastor at several churches throughout Mississippi and Arkansas. He served at First Pentecostal Church in Brooksville, MS for over 20 years. \ He is survived by his wife of 71 years Mary Erickson Holliday; Son, Verdell (Colleen) Holliday of Madison; Grandchildren, Ronnie Holliday, Tracey Styron and Teresa Garrett; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter LeVette Holliday, four brothers and two sisters. \
