Reverend Richard Watson Boone, 76, of Terry, MS passed away August 13, 2012 at University Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. Visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS on Tuesday, August 14 from 5pm-7pm. Wednesday, August 15, visitation is at 10am with the funeral at 11am both at Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene, 3775 Terry Road, Jackson, MS 39212. Graveside services immediately following at Johnston Chapel United Methodist Church, 2093 Chapel Dr., Summit, MS 39666.\ \ Richard attended Trevecca Nazarene College for ministerial studies and spent 32 years as pastor in the Church of the Nazarene. He built and served the Jackson Emmanuel Church for 28 years leaving a great legacy for the congregation and many generations. The absolute love of his life was Jesus Christ. He was a faithful, humble servant. He was considered to be a wonderful husband and father. he was certainly the world's greatest Pawpaw.\ \ He also worked as a contractor building homes all over Jackson and the surrounding areas.\ \ He is preceded in death by his parents; Claude and Gertrude Boone, brothers; Harley, Clyde, Ford and Winston Boone, sisters; Kathryn Sullivan and Jeannette Johnson. He is survived by his wife Lemelia Johnston Boone, sons Kenneth (Tina) and Kelvin (Rhonda) all of Terry. His five grandchildren are Ryan, Tyler, Holly, Braden and Bryson. Surviving brothers Algie and A.D. both of McComb, MS; sisters Dot Hightower of McComb, MS and Claudine Ainsworth of Marion, MS.\ \ While some flowers are appreciated, the family requests assistance with final expenses.\ \ In addition, the family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the many physicians, nurses and caregivers during his battle with cancer.\ \ On line guest book available at www.chancellorfuneralhome.com.\
