Rhonda Cloninger, 55, passed into the arms of Jesus following a brief illness, at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories. Rhonda was born August 12, 1964 in Memphis, TN to Charles and Madelyne Roberson. She lived in the Florence area for most of her life where she drove the special needs school bus for over 15 years. She loved her job and the children she got to drive around. “Nonnie”, as she was known by her kids and grandkids, loved her family dearly and enjoyed family get togethers. She had a beautiful smile, loved taking pictures, enjoyed camping. Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, Charles Roberson and her uncle, Robert Roberson. She is survived by her mother, Madelyn Roberson of Brandon; her daughter, Robyn (Jason) Dixon of Brandon; her son, Ryan (Karen) Shelton of Florence; grandchildren, Dustin (Hanna), Austin (Cheyenne), Ryleigh, David, Jayden, Kayla, and Brittany; great grandchildren, Tristan, Abby, Nicholas, Kensley, Havanna, Paizlee, Lilly, Grayson, Isiah, and Elijah; brothers, Rodney Roberson of Brandon and David “Phish” Roberson of Meridian; sister, Cyndi Brock of Florence; nieces and nephews, Nikki, Chad, Tony, Chance, Michael, Zac, Joshua, and Kris; and by her red long-haired Dachshund, Jazzy, that was her world.
