Richard Lewis

Richard Casey Lewis of Jackson, MS died in his home, Saturday, April 23, 2011 of natural causes. He was born in Meridian, MS on March 11, 1946 to the late Dr. Clyde James Lewis and Mrs. Frances Sidebottom Lewis. Richard graduated from Meridian High School and went on to receive his degree in Geology from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. He later moved to Houston, Texas and worked as a Geologist.\ \ Richard eventually made Jackson, MS his home and is survived by his beloved son\ Casey Lewis and wife Jennifer Lewis and their two daughters, Olivia and Emilia from Ohio; his brother, Clyde James Lewis, Jr. and wife Laura Lewis of Terry, MS; his brother-in-law, Jim Crandall of Huntington Beach, CA; along with six nephews and their families. \ \ Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his precious son, Christian Lewis, and loving sister, Frances Lewis Crandall.\ \ Because of Richard's poor health, he was known by many, but because of his\ relentless grieving heart he led a life of seclusion from many that loved him\ dearly. He now rest in the peaceful arms of our Heavenly Father. Funeral services will be private and for family only.\ \
