Mr. Richard Wayne Phillips

Richard Wayne Phillips, 57, passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at his home in Florence. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, June 25th from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. A Graveside Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the Garden of Memories. Richard was born February 22, 1964 in Jackson, MS. He worked for many years as a Freight Driver. Richard was a man of few words however, he had a great sense of humor, very light-hearted, and enjoyed a good practical joke. His other hobbies include fishing. Richard was preceded in death by his step-mother, Judy Phillips. He is survived by his father, Jimmy Phillips of Richland; mother, Sandra Miley of Magee; brother, Jimmy Phillips, Jr. (Mary) of Richland; sisters, Barbara Myers (Terry) of Sumiton, AL, Rena Tanner of Richland, Angel Phillips of Richland, Melissa Evans (Mark) Of Florence; and Michelle Phillips of Louisville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
