Mr. Richard "Rick" George Thompson

Richard “Rick” Thompson went to walk in Heaven on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and 10am until the 11am funeral service Friday, March 18, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood South. Rick was born in Centreville, MS to the late George and Murlyne Copes Thompson. His career was loyally serving as military photographer for 31 years, retiring from the 172nd Air National Guard Unit. Rick loved his family and church, First Baptist Church of Byram. Rick left behind daughter Lisa Ouzts, sons Luke and Johnathan Thompson and loving wife of 47 years, Marvel. Also grandchildren Madelyn and Rosalie Thompson, Nicholas Sykes and two great grandchildren; brothers Robert T. Thompson (Francis), Ashton C. Thompson (Sandra), Curtis C. Thompson and Matthew Sean Thompson (Janet); sister Melanie Fay Coleman (Richard).
