Richard Bruce Turner, 65, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Merit Health in Brandon, MS. The family will have a memorial service at a later date. Richard was born to James Turner and Loretta Bissonnette Turner on March 27, 1955 in Tampa, FL. He served in the United States Navy for six years and was currently employed with B&E Communications as a Systems Designer. He also enjoyed volunteering as the sound technician at Raymond Road Baptist Church where he was a faithful member and investing his time in support of several military assistance organizations, including the Trail of Honor and the Patriot Guard of Mid-Mississippi. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and beloved pets, Diesel, Tiger, and Charlie. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Karen Karnes and brother, Robert Turner. He is survived by his wife, Karren Turner; daughters, Marsha (Greg) Henley, Angela (Lee) Blaylock, and son, Christopher Turner; step-mother, Donna Turner; step-sisters, Lisa (Brian) Moore and Dawn (John) Cuellar; aunts, Carol (Bill) Mullen, Kathy (Tom) Dake, Beverly (Ken) Williams, Jeanne (Paul) Secord, Mable Turner, and Pam Retkofski; grandchildren, Anna (Devin) Foreman, Destiny Martin, Karyn Blaylock, Hope Blaylock, and Kelly Blaylock, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Chase Martin and Xavier Foreman; and his nieces and nephews: Kathy (Chris) Kuhlman and their children, Molly and Dimitri; Will (Danielle) Cox and their children, Hennesey, Destiny, and Taylor; John (Lauren) Cox and their son, Cameron; Susanne (Michael) McCarter and their children, Leah, Jaiden, Joel, Phoebe, and Alonna; sister-in-law Patsy Cox; brother-in-law, Glynn (Diane) Ford and their son, Tyler; brother-in-law, Bobby (Sue) Thigpen. Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, the Patriot Guard of Mid-Mississippi, or Raymond Rd. Baptist Church.
