Ricky Nelson, 40, went to be with the Lord on Friday July 23, 2010\ \ Visitation is 5-8pm Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Funeral services are 10am Tuesday with burial following at Florence Cemetery.\ \ Ricky spent most of his life in the Jackson area, moving to the Florence area 23 years ago. He was employed by Buford Plumbing and was avid outdoorsman and fisherman.\ Most importantly, he was a devoted father.\ \ He is preceded in death by his brother, Chris Nelson\ \ He is survived by his son, Cody Nelson; daughter, Ashley Nelson; mother, Shirley Nelson; father, Wayne Nelson; Grandparents, Merle & Carolyn Nelson and Barney & Mary Auttonberry; brothers, Andy Nelson and Waylon Nelson; sisters, Cindy Argo, Christy Humble, and Kayla Nelson; and a number of nieces and nephews\
