Rita Herniman

Mrs. Rita Herniman, 60, died on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and Thursday 12-1 p.m. prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Johns Cemetery.\ \ Mrs. Herniman, a loving wife, mother and grandmother will be missed by those she loved most in her life, her family and the pride of her life, her grandchildren. Time spent other than with her family she enjoyed flowers and gardening. She worked as a crossing guard at Florence Middle School for several years\ \ She is survived by her husband, Doug Herniman of Florence; sons: Richard (Sarah) Herniman of Florence, Paul Herniman of Tampa, FL; and Jerry (Shawn) Wood of Montgomery Village, MD; daughters: Jennifer Orr of Star, Angela (Burban) Hoover of Florence and Cheryl Herniman of New Mexico; brother, Joe Mitchell of New Albany, MS; sister, Linda Wall of Star, MS; grandchildren: Cory and Alisha Herniman, David Orr, Ian Hoover and Ashley Wood; numerous nieces and nephews.\ \
