Mr. Robert Beavers

Robert Howard Beavers, 86, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at his home in Florence. A memorial service will be 10 AM on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. A native of Marshall, TX, Mr. Beavers has called Florence home for the last 14 years. His family says it’s the happiest years of his life. He loved his cabin in the woods where he would spend time woodworking, reading, and painting. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and he worked for the Southland Corporation as the Maintenance Supervisor for the 7/11 stores. Mr. Beavers is survived by his daughters, Cindy Beavers (Dale) Barron of Florence and Charlotte Beavers (Henry) Walters of Amelia Island, FL; sister, Sarah Bailey of Florence; 4 grandchildren, Holly, Kacey, Dillon, and Beatty; 1 niece and 1 nephew.
