Commander Robert M. Evans, Dr. Retired passed away on Monday, January 04, 2021 in Jackson, MS. He was 77 years old. He will be laid to rest in Midden, TX. Commander Evans was born to Blanton Hays Evans and Gladys Stein Mitchell on December 30, 1943 in Jackson, MS. He was a Vietnam veteran and served in the US Navy for 28 years, achieving the rank of Commander. He retired as Hospital Administrator at Ft. Meade in Maryland. He was a member of Brookleigh Baptist Church in Byram, MS. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Iris I. Evans; niece, Jennifer B. Evans; and nephew, Joseph B. Evans.
