Robert James Williams

Robert James Williams, 61, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2009 at VA Medical Center in Jackson. Graveside services will be held at 11am Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez.\ \ Mr. Williams was born March 4, 1948 in Shreveport, LA to Lewis and Ozell Woodard Williams. A Veteran of the U.S. Marines during Vietnam, Robert had lived in Yazoo City since 2002 and was a salesman in the hardware business.\ \ He is preceded in death by his mother, Ozell Woodard Williams; brothers, Charlie and Jerry Rooks and sister, Bobbie Sue Rooks. Survivors include his wife JoAnn Williams of Yazoo City; son Jeremy Young and daughter, Amy McComic both of Shreveport, LA; four step children; brothers, Bill Rooks of OR, Don Rooks of Colorado Springs, Co, Wiley Rooks of Shreveport, LA; sisters, Carolyn Quinley of Shreveport, LA, Debbie Green of Lafayette, LA and 3 grandchildren.\
