Roger Frank Bolls, 65, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at his home in Jackson. A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life at 3:30pm Friday, November 18, 2016 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Mr. Bolls was born in Jackson, MS to the late Peter Walker Bolls and Doris Mae Herrington Bolls. He was a 1967 graduate of Forest Hill High School and then attended Hinds Jr. College. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served overseas for five years. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson and member of Relate Church where he served as usher and greeter. Mr. Bolls was the owner of Roger’s Lawn Service for 25 years. He was a good neighbor and friend to many in his community—always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was an active outdoorsman who absolutely loved the water, enjoying boating and teaching water sports to others, especially skiing. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Peter “Chip” Bolls, Jr. and grandson Bryce Bolls. Survivors include his sons, Travis Bolls of TX and Roger W. Bolls (Emerald) of Pearl; daughters, Tanya Bolls of Jackson, Natalie Bolls of Pearl and Kaci Lorenz (Alex) of TX; grandchildren, Jasimine, Nathan, Ila, Holden and one on the way; sisters, Karen Ramsey (Nick) of Pascagoula, Nancy McManus (Howard) of Crystal Springs; Carol B. File of Raymond; brother, Donald Bolls (Teresa) of AR; several nieces and nephews.
