Mr. Ronald Dorman Ashley, 69, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at home. Mr. Ashley was born July 11, 1949 in Jackson, MS to Hayden and Maxine Ashley. He was a resident of Jackson the majority of his life and a member of Relate Church. Mr. Ashley enjoyed gardening, painting and spending time with his family. He was a self employed Brick Mason and a Minister. He served the Lord as Sr. Pastor of the former Vineyard Church for several years. He also served on the mission field in Moi Bridge, Africa where he was instrumental in building the water supply system and most important, leading others to the Lord. Mr. Ashley was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lynn Reavis Ashley; his mother, Maxine Ashley; sister, Glenda (Dan) Robinson; three children, Rhonda McCollum, Angela (Les) Harvey and Jennifer (Chris) Wharton; grandchildren, Ian Wharton, Olivia Wharton, Mia Kate Harvey and Harper Wharton; and his nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Thursday, March 28 at Relate Church, 6885 Siwell Road in Byram and again on Friday, March 29 from 10am until the 11am funeral service also at Relate Church. Rev. Charles Ford will officiate. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park South. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Compassus Hospice & Palliative Care for the loving care given to Mr. Ashley. .
